Baseball Quest 2007: Day 5

The start back home after an extremely successful, fun trip started with the drive back to Arlington. On the way, we stopped in Dallas to visit Dealey Plaza and the 6th Floor Museum. It was time for a bit of non-baseball history. After that we checked into our hotel (within walking distance to the Ranger’s ballpark). Bobby realized that the Rangers played night games on Sunday (who would’ve known) and proposed that rather hang out at the hotel, that we go to the game. So, why not – our 5th game in 5 days. Of course, this was the hottest day that we hit (about 107, cooled down to 95 at 11:00 pm). The 1st Ranger game, we sat behind home plate, so for this one we sat out in right field to get a different view.

This was the least memorable of the trip, with the most interesting event being the departure of the Ranger starter, Kason Gabbard, only 18 pitches into the game with arm stiffness. The Rangers went on to a 9-1 laugher.
